Athletes from all over the world are gathering for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Locally, Indiana University is sending 10 competitors who hope to make their mark in Olympic history. Meanwhile, here at home, we see moms and dads running their own races, attempting to care for their little ones in a stressful world and a challenging economy. Pregnant moms and new parents are jumping over hurdles to study for exams or get to work on time. It takes a lot of mental gymnastics to balance work, school, home, and late nights wrestling with a teething baby. Our supporters deserve Gold medals for making sacrifices so we can help parents take care of their little ones. (OK, I’ll stop with the puns!)
Seriously though, summer is a challenging time for us and most non-profits. Donations tend to decrease from June through August. However, the need keeps growing. Just last week, we had 100 clients, in just one day receiving counseling, case management, needed items like diapers and wipes, prenatal and childbirth education, doula services, and parenting support.
We ask you to be a hero for the babies and their families at the level that is right for you and your family or business.
